Backup Battery SOS System - OEM 3G0915089

Original VAG backup battery for the SOS / emergency call system (eCall).

This battery supplies the emergency call system with power when the vehicle battery is disconnected or no longer supplies voltage after a collision. This allows the vehicle to still place an emergency call.

The battery ages and loses capacity. With a worn or faulty battery the vehicle reports a fault in the emergency call system and the SOS function is unavailable or only partly available.

This is a new original OEM part.

OE numbers

Applicability

Always check the OE number of the fitted battery before ordering, or have the applicability checked using the registration number or chassis number.

Important installation information

PLEASE NOTE:

After replacement the new battery has in most cases to be registered with suitable diagnostic equipment, after which the fault in the emergency call system can be cleared.
