Bracket / holder for the adaptive cruise control radar sensor

This bracket (also called holder or support) carries the radar sensor of the adaptive cruise control and holds it behind the emblem of the vehicle in the correct position and angle. The radar sensor measures the distance to and the speed of vehicles ahead; the bracket determines the exact alignment of the sensor.

In a frontal impact the bracket is often bent or broken while the radar sensor itself is still usable. A deformed or damaged bracket can no longer be aligned correctly, which means the radar sensor cannot be calibrated properly.
