Seal ring set input shaft for the DQ400 / 0DD – often resolves fault code P086700

For the 6-speed DSG DQ400(E) – 0DD from VAG plug-in hybrids.
The Teflon seal ring on the input shaft is a known weak point in this gearbox. As soon as this ring is damaged or worn, internal pressure loss occurs and the gearbox reports P086700 – function limitation due to pressure loss. With this set, you can replace the seal ring including all associated seals at once.

Important

With this fault, the following complaints often occur:

• Fault code P086700 (function limitation due to pressure loss)
• Limp mode / limited power
• Slipping clutch or loss of drive
• Jerky shifting or unable to shift
• Only electric driving possible

In many cases, the pressure loss can be traced back to the input shaft ring. If only the mechatronics are repaired or replaced, the fault often reappears. Therefore, always replace the seal rings when the gearbox is open.
