Front Camera VAG OEM (3Q0980654H)

Genuine VAG front camera (multifunction camera) for vehicles on the MQB platform. The camera is fitted behind the windscreen at the level of the interior mirror and supplies the image for the camera-based driver assistance systems.

Depending on the vehicle's equipment level, this camera supports among others lane keeping assist (Lane Assist), Front Assist with city emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, high beam assist and - in combination with a radar sensor - Travel Assist.

If the camera is faulty or damaged, these systems fail or are deactivated by the vehicle. Replacement is also often required after a windscreen replacement, a collision or water damage.

This is a new, genuine OEM VAG part.

Important fitting information

NOTE: this camera is not plug & play.

After fitting, the camera must be coded and calibrated with suitable diagnostic equipment. Without correct calibration, lane assist, Front Assist and the other camera functions will not work, or will not work reliably.

Also make sure that the bracket and the field of view on the windscreen are suitable for this camera version. We recommend fitting and calibration by a qualified workshop with suitable VAG diagnostic equipment and the correct calibration setup.
